2014 Rolex Award For Enterprise: Entries Open Until May 31

Luxury watch brand, Rolex is inviting young innovators from across the world to apply for the 2014 Rolex Awards for Enterprise. Between aged 18-30 are urged to submit their new or ongoing projects focused on delivering profound positive change to the world around.

The Rolex Awards for Enterprise support pioneering work in five areas: applied technology, cultural heritage, environment, exploration and discovery, and science and health. Projects are assessed on their originality, potential for impact, feasibility, and, above all, on the candidates own spirit of enterprise.

P&G Receives African 1st Ladies Award For Excellence

Procter & Gamble (P&G), a leading consumer goods company, has been honoured with the African 1st ladies award for excellence in social investments in Africa at the summit held in Los Angeles last week.

The award which was conferred on the Vice President, Procter and Gamble West Africa Manoj Kumar by the first lady of Namibia, Mrs. Pohamba, is in recognition of Procter and Gamble’s commitment to growth and expansion plans in Africa are long-term.

At the African 1st ladies summit, Kumar made known that P&G has been on the African continent for more than 50 years and in Sub Sahara Africa for over 20 years, with manufacturing plants in Ibadan Nigeria and Johannesburg South Africa as well as offices in Lagos, Nairobi and Johannesburg.

First Bank’s Onasanya Bags ‘CEO of the Year’ Award

The Group Managing Director of First Bank of Nigeria Limited, Mr. Bisi Onasanya has emerged winner of the 2012 EMEA Finance ‘CEO of the Year Award’.

According to Christopher Moore, the Publisher and Chief Executive of EMEA Finance, Mr. Onasanya’s choice was predicated on his prudent management of the bank.
