MasterCard Launches New Training Facility in Kenya
MasterCard has announced the launch of a brand new training facility in Kenya to empower the financial services ecosystem with knowledge on various aspects of cashless payments in order to boost acceptance readiness in the region.
The training centre, located at MasterCard’s East Africa offices in Eldama Park, off Peponi Road, will be used for training purposes for merchants, retailers and other partners. The facility, which can seat up to 40 people at a time, will be used to host project meetings to enhance awareness of global payments industry best practice in issuance of cards, retail payments and technical aspects of cashless transactions.
Ericsson Opens Service Delivery Centres in Nigeria, DRC
Ericsson has opened two new service delivery facilities in Nigeria and the DRC to cater for growth and to ensure enhanced support to customers. Lars Christer Johannisson, head of Ericsson’s regional services organization, said the location of the facilities is based on current business needs.
During the initial period, Ericsson experts from around the world will work closely with a core of local professionals to establish the centres. Following this, there will be a transition of responsibility to the region through structured competence transfer in conjunction with targeted local graduate recruitment.
