With the rapid development of technology and high competition among key brand players across the world, 2013 looks set to be the year where 3DTVs could also gain more market penetration.
According to a report by Informa Telecoms & Media, one of the leading provider of business information and services in the world, 3DTV adoption made some good early progress. Though, it pointed out that equipment prices are falling but content remains fairly scarce. As some key industry players are still backing the technology, there are hopes that it can move beyond “early adopters” into the mainstream.
Determined to ensure its consumers’ and trade partners are attuned to its global nature, Heineken, the international premium beer brand unveiled its new global bottle to over 250 of them in Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital. The event which had the look and feel of an airport was interspersed with preview from the latest James Bond movie, SkyFall which was sponsored by Heineken globally. The bottle unveil was pepped up with dramatic and energetic dance steps from the DNMT dance group.
Speaking at the launch, Regional Business Manager-West, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Joseph Bodunrin, disclosed that, “Innovation is boldly written in the DNA of the Heineken brand. We always want to be the pioneer in being the first to bring new beer experiences to consumers. With this new bottle, we have succeeded in that respect. The new bottle has a clear plastic label, which is the first of its kind in Nigeria. It means you can see through the label to the high quality beer in the bottle. It’s good to always be fresh. Give something new to your consumers”.
